The Roots of our Practice
We envision a metamorphosis of the food system where culturally relevant foods are widely accessible to migrant communities, and people are empowered participants of their food system, and no-waste practices are abundant.
Food Sovereignty
Creating programs (or supporting existing efforts) that empower individuals to control and participate in their own food systems. This is done through the cultivation of culturally relevant crops & flowers, as well as programming that reflects the ancestral diets of the communities we serve.
Arts and Education
Building an inclusive space where arts and education intersect, offering accessible opportunities and knowledge shares within our different areas of expertise: land stewardship, film, design, multimedia arts, with hopes to offer artist residencies and retreats in the future.
Sustainable Community
Providing access to essential resources, support systems, and opportunities, regardless of one's background or financial status.
Biodiversity and Ecosystem Stewardship
Stewardship is the careful and responsible maintenance of something entrusted to you. We are committed to preserving the native Plant, Animal, Mineral, and Fungal multiverses in Salem, CT., encouraging a connection between biodiversity, conservation, and food as a revolutionary tool.
